Work With Us

Join forces with Virunga National Park and gain access to our range of Virunga Origins and Women’s Workshop products at trade prices. Our artisanal chocolate, sustainably farmed coffee, and other consumables are licensed for sale across Europe, while our ethically sourced, fair-labour products – handcrafted by Congolese women – can be distributed worldwide.

Working with the program affiliates your store or e-commerce platform with the Park and its initiatives, which closely align with several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By selling our products, your brand can resonate with stakeholders in conservation and ethical commerce, helping the Park to protect biodiversity and foster a green economy for local communities.

Virunga Origins

  • Chocolate

Chocolate is the Virunga Origins flagship product, with a whole range of vegan varieties catering to chocolate lovers of all kinds. Our cocoa is grown close to the Park by local farmers, using sustainable farming techniques that help protect the Park and its biodiversity.

  • Coffee

The Virunga massif offers some of the most fertile land for coffee-growing anywhere in Africa. The rich soils and high rainfall allow over 6,000 smallholder farmers to grow Arabica beans of the finest quality, all roasted and packaged close to the Park, helping to support a local green economy.

  • Chia Seeds and Vanilla

As well as cacao and coffee beans, Virunga Origins helps farmers to sustainably cultivate and market other high-quality crops. Our nutrient-dense chia is a superfood that gives back to the communities that grow it, and the sale of aromatic vanilla allows children close to the Park to go to school.

Women's Workshop

  • Crochet Animals

Our textured crochet animals are handcrafted with love in the Women’s Workshop by the widows of fallen Rangers. They make for great gifts while supporting a project that allows vulnerable women to develop skills, support their families, and look forward to a bright future.

  • Kitenge Crafts

At the Women’s Workshop, traditional African Kitenge cloth is used to make a range of everyday products, from kitchen aprons to laptop sleeves, giving your product range a touch of East African style. Sales of these goods help empower women and protect biodiversity in the Park.

  • Custom Orders

In addition to our standard range of crochet animals and Kitenge crafts, wholesale partners can request custom orders from our women’s workshop to be sold under your own brand name, contributing towards the prosperity and skillset of the all-female workforce.
